= Using Linux VM to dirb scan a practice target VM website server on virtual subnet sets off my host firewall? Why and how to do I fix? =

The firewall was activating much more frequently at first, blocking almost every directory attempt.

I uninstalled my virtualbox, moved my VM folders, reinstalled virtualbox and reinstalled my VMs.

Now the firewall only alerted for two sections. That is an improvement at least.

Any ideas?
