= Unmanaged, dedicated 10Gbps server lease = ![ ](httpswww.redditstatic.com/desktop2x/img/renderTimingPixel.png) First, covering the questionnaire for this sub (more detail and context below) Monthly budget: $300-$500/server, 2-6 servers Where are you/users located: North/Central and South America What kind of site: Specialized application, not an HTTP or FTP server Monthly traffic volume: 10TB outbound, less than half that inbound VPS: Application requires dedicated bare-metal. No virtualization and no sharing Read the sidebar: My use-case is somewhat unique so not too helpful In my own words⦠IâÂÂm looking for a dedicated physical server (leased) with a 10Gbps circuit- ideally billed 95th percentile, IPMI access, completely unmanaged by the provider My primary requirement is the network link, my customerâÂÂs applications are low CPU, low disk/io, low storage volume, not RAM intensive. The quality of the circuit (proximity to and number of peers) is most important IâÂÂve managed clients with deployments at LiquidWeb and FDC for this previously, at around $400-$500/month and found both satisfactory, but IâÂÂm looking for other options. I found support on both decent, better network @ FDC (much lower latency, fewer hops to peers) and security better at LiquidWeb (if anyone is curious) Any recommendations on providers to get quotes from? ItâÂÂs a small amount of servers, 2-6. Please donâÂÂt DM me or extensivelyanything, and IâÂÂm not looking for referrals, my client canâÂÂt use them per their policies anyway IâÂÂm not too familiar with this sub so please let me know of this sort of post is not appropriate ![ ](httpswww.redditstatic.com/desktop2x/img/renderTimingPixel.png) Those are some unique requirements indeed. I see you mentioned 10TB of outbound traffic but yet need a 10Gbps circuit with 95% billing? Normally that type of combination isn't provided on leased equipment so maybe if you can elaborate on that part a bit folks would be able to give you a better recommendation. I don't think your budget is unreasonable, but it is an odd combination of low traffic but yet high capacity. Yeah as /u/KH-DanielP mentioned can you please clarify what type of traffic you actually use / push? 10TB outbound is nothing, is it super bursty hence you need the 10G uplink? == About Community == Members Online
