= Traffic died 100% after I switched to a new wordpress hosting company, what should I or can I do to get things back to normal? Yet I have been assured before the switching that nothing will go wrong and everything will continue as usual =

When I say 100%, I mean exactly thateven frequent google search algo updates never had such an impact on the blog over the years..

UPDATE: for those asking if I have accidently hidden the site from search engine crawlers, no I haven't done that, I just checked again to be sure

How long was the website offline during the switch?
Did any of the website URLs change?
When you click your links in Google search results, what happens?
Has anything changed from Google's perspective?
Do you have no inbound links to you site besides those from search engines?
How old was the website at the time of the switch?
Have you looked into the possibility that your traffic log is the problem and is not recording stats?
OP if you don't know the answers to these questions you need to hire a competent developer, not rely on your hosting company for help

I'd just like to add..

Make sure you migrated the Google Analytics code and it's working (you can check in Google Analytics in multiple ways but for one you can just open live view and go to your website and see if you show up as a visitor)
Use Google Search Console to look for 404 or other types of errors on your site like redirect issues
Check the site's .htaccess to make sure there aren't any deny rules preventing access from search engines or even the entire internet
Review the server logs to see if there are any issues there
I followed some wpbeginner tutorial on site transfer without downtime and everytime went well. So there was no downtime
2. no but is there any difference between www.ok.io, ok.io and httpswww.ok.io?
more than 5 years old
traffic log is 100% not the issue
I’ve changed hosts many times without issues or traffic loss so something went wrong in the process

Can you revert back to old host dns settings and then try it again with a different host or migration plug-in?
When I moved from Bluehost to cloudways they had a migration plug-in that moved Wordpress and everything over and kept it identical. Then all I had to change was the DNS settings to point to cloudways and it was live on new host

Cloudways has been amazing. No issues at all since migrating

I use Vultr high frequency. Cheapest plan is $13 a month I think and it can handle 20-30k pageviews or so (depending on how many articles you have on the site)

I have two servers on Cloudways one is $26 a month (2gb) and it has 40 sites on it that get around 50-75k pageviews. My other server is the 4gb one which has about 10 sites on it and gets 250k pageviews a month

When I moved from Bluehost to Cloudways my traffic jumped 15-50% overnight (depending on the site). Bluehost was having all sorts of problems and was kicking errors on the backend repeatedly (which is why I decided to move) but when my traffic increased so drastically it was obviously giving errors on the front end too. Now that won’t be true for everyone as maybe their shared sever isn’t having issues but was the case with me
I’ve switched hosting many times with zero issues. I am wondering I’ve you have set everything up correctly

Is your site running correctly and accessible?
Are you sure analytic’s code (or any traffic monitor you are using) is setup correctly?
Even if a switch would cause traffic loss, it will most likely happen gradually and not overnight. So I’m guessing something might not be setup correctly
