= Can't connect to APC Management Web Server =

So we are in the home stretch at my company, where I will finally be able to step out of my role as sole - underqualified IT guy, and have our new IT company take over

But, being in the home stretch doesn't mean I get off easy

I know zero about APC units. We have two of them. One of them has a red light and a message that says "Warning State:Replace Battery"
I don't see a model number on this thing, and I thought I could connect in on the IP address for it, but when I do I get the message
Protected Object
This object on the APC Management Web Server is protected

No option to log in, no additional information given on the page

Any ideas?

It looks like he was able to fix it by connecting through ssh and loading a newer firmware version
The Model # is on the back or behind the battery cover on the sticker with the barcode on it. Not the battery though, that would be the battery model # and serial #

If you can't login you might be getting blocked by newer browsers blocking POODLE which means you need to update the firmware from the Firmware Update Utility. httpwww.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156047/
There are some APC appliances that have their own interface app

You can always try plugging directly in with a serial cable but make sure it is the one they sent with the unit. if you use others, sometimes it'll cause the unit to entirelydown (all your shiz will lose power)
