Every domain and subdomain pointed to a Stablepoint server will automatically be provisioned with an SSL certificate covering the website. Once a domain points to us, our automation runs within the hour and assigns an SSL certificate to the website. There is nothing you need to do, the process is fully automatic. Things that can stop or interfere with this process though are - if your DNS doesn't point to our nameservers, or, if you're using a firewall service like Cloudflare. If you need any assistance with the free automatic SSL service, just get in touch via our support channels
We do not offer any paid certificates through our services, however, you are free to purchase a certificate elsewhere and install it on your hosting with us. There is no additional charge from Stablepoint for this

Once we have restored a backup, the domain(s) can just be pointed to our hosting
If you have a WHM account elsewhere we can migrate cPanel accounts in bulk, and if you have root access to the old server it is extremely straightforward
We can usually start straight away, however if there is a larger volume of requests or your previous host has a very slow server, it may take some time. If you need a migration done at a specific time please schedule it with us at least 24h before
Yes, we can migrate email accounts. If your current host uses cPanel we can take an automated backup and restore that as is. Email account passwords will remain the same and we do not need to know them
If you use a proprietary control panel we can migrate emails using an IMAP sync. It is similar to creating two mailboxes in a mail client and dragging them (but automatic). For this method we will need to know a list of email accounts and passwords. Alternatively, we also give you access to do these mail migrations yourself
Whilst we provide free SSL certificates for all sites hosted with us, we can if you wish install a certificate you have purchased or obtained elsewhere (for example, if it's a specific certificate that you would like to install) we can assist with this process. We can generate a new key and CSR for you to provide to your SSL provider - we'll just need to know the domain(s) you need this for. Please raise a support ticket for further information on installing an external SSL certificate
Stablepoint is fully compatible with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is a globally hosted caching and security platform - itin front of your website, a bit like a firewall and routes requests through to your hosting with us, whilst filtering potentially dangerous requests and denial of service attacks. We provide the Cloudflare plugin for cPanel where you can login and directly manage your domains/sites that you have in their system
Once the migration is completed, we'll let you know it's time to switch over the nameservers. If the domain is transferred to us, we can change them for you. Once you're happy that everything has been transferred over and the site is working OK, you can then cancel your service with your old provider. You'll now be fully live with Stablepoint!

Our system administrators monitor our servers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This includes network statistics such as ping, as well many other metrics such as CPU load and memory consumption and will highlight to our team immediately if there are any issues apparent. We do not monitor your website directly, so for this purpose you could use a service like Uptime Robot. This will highlight anything that our server level monitoring might not pick up - such as a plugin issue on your site for example
Through CloudLinux we provide patched versions of historic PHP versions, and also the latest stable versions. This means you can run everything from PHP 5.2 to PHP 8

So at any point in time, there are a vast number of restore points to choose from. This service is included for free on all hosting packages. On very rare occasions, some backups are delayed or unable to run so it is always advisable to take a backup or check that a backup is available prior to making any big changes to your site
Yes, our servers come with NodeJS and Python installed, you can create and manage applications from each individual cPanel account. We run NodeJS/Python via mod_passenger, so your application has to be compatible with this method of running to work on our cPanel hosting
Stablepoint servers run the cPanel/WHM control panel running on CloudLinux operating system. CloudLinux provides a number of improvements over other Linux operating systems, especially when it comes to a shared web hosting environment. Not least of these is security and isolation where each user is isolated to their own virtual file system. We also utilise Litespeed web server, which is a drop-in replacement for open source Apache.
