Has anyone here done a Cloud Continuity Bare metal restore? I have gone through the whole process until I get to the data transfer and it continues to stop a certain point, I left it overnight and it was at the same place. I'm doing this from home so I don't have any weird firewall rules blocking anything. Not sure that Cloud Continuity is worth it if it doesn't work at the most important time.

Update: I have engaged Datto support again and am now running my 5th attempt at the BMR. Learned a few things including that it is recommended that you have a larger hard drive in the new device, not the exact same size as this will cause issues the same as a smaller hard drive. If you have to restore to a smaller hard drive go ahead and call support before you do as there will inevitably be issues as soon as you try. Also there have been issues with wireless NICs causing problems on laptop restores, so if you happen to be lucky enough to have a laptop with a physical button that turns off Wifi go ahead and do that before connecting the ethernet cable for the data transfer.
I’ve needed it a few times and it’s never worked. Even the Datto techs can’t get it to work. Fresh install of the OS and reinstalled the applications winds up being the official recommendation of Datto

According to them they really need the drive to be in pristine condition to capture a good image. Otherwise the image will still capture, and screenshot verification will work, but restore will fail if there’s anybits at all. And no, they can’t detect the problems to warn you about them.
