= So this cloud service offered a 1 year subscription and i decided to give it a try, one year after they get 100 euros for the renewal of the sub without even asking me if i want to continue, now they say i should have canceled the sub one year ago, witch means the free sub is a credit card trap ! =

ThatâÃÂÃÂs how free trials work. You give them your financial info and then you get a free trial. YouâÃÂÃÂre then supposed to remember to cancel before the trial period is up. If you donâÃÂÃÂt, your Cc gets charged.
You canâÃÂÃÂt just wait for the trial to end. TheyâÃÂÃÂre counting on you forgetting to cancel it so they start charging your monthly.
Like everyone else is saying, this is the expectation with free trial services. It is not a trap and it is not a scam, itâÃÂÃÂs something you need to remember to cancel before it renews (although it doeswhen you forget. IâÃÂÃÂve done it a few times myself). My Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus subscriptions are a highly reputable example of this (I think Netflix and Spotify are also this way as well). Welcome to the free trial world OP lol
This is not a scam. Those free trials have about 2 main ways they work. First, you try it and love it so keep it. Second, you try it, donâÃÂÃÂt like it, but forget to cancel it so they get money, anyhow.
I do this with Amazon Music. Around October of every year they send me a link to get 3 months free. I wait until November, get my free 3 months (because I like to use that to play Christmas music on the AlexaâÃÂÃÂs we have) and then cancel a few days before it ends. If I forgot to cancel, that would be on me.
Personally, I usually put a note on my calendar on the day I plan to cancel. And this is also why I do not sign up for many âÃÂÃÂfree trialsâÃÂÃÂ, because I donâÃÂÃÂt want to be on the hook if
*I* forget.
I'd suggest that there's a 3rd way that they work for things like storage. You try it, you don't like it
*that* much, but you've uploaded too muchto be able to easily move it all offand you don't have the time to go through it all to see what you really need to keep and what you don't mind losing. So you stay.
They didnt ask me if i liked and want to continue, just took my money and now i cannot cancel and get the money back, even if i cancel on the same day they took my money, remember i never really paid for this service, i was on trial 1 year and forgot they existed. This is obviusly a trap, if it wasnt they would let me cancel the first time i actualy pay for it and get the money back, also they should ask me if i was enjoying the service and want to buy it, they didnt ask !
Edit: i just noticed they edited those sub cancelation terms this week, probably to make the scam work for their benefit on all those that went for the one year trial.
never really
paidfor this
FTFY.
Although
*payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant.
The deck is yet to be payed. Payed outwhen letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
