= Streaming on a Graphical Linux VPS? =

Hi. Can anyone say if watching streamed programmes on a graphical Linux VPS is a viable thing to do, or would it be too slow? Also, would audio even work?

AFAIK it could potentially violate the license agreement you agree to when buying content

That's my worry. The problem you see is some shows I want to watch are very hard to watch legally in the UK because they're only broadcast in the US. But at the same time, after getting adware from a (free) streaming site, I don't want to use one directly on me own hardware. The other idea is something like virtualbox, but I have heard that sufficiently good malware can 'break out' of it. Now I guess run of the mill adware isn't going to know it's in a VM, but still Linux doesn't seem to have antivirus, like Kaspersky on me work laptop, so how would I know?
A VPN might be an easier solution here. That is a common use case for them, watching region locked content.
