Web hosting, also called web hosting or bare hosting, is an important part of having success online. Although you can (and should) optimize the speed of your website, you will not end up with a slow web hosting. According to Google, 90% of visitors to see your website, if it is 5 seconds or more about that

The market for web hotels is unpredictable, they are found in ALL price ranges and it is a jungle to find your way around. You can find prices from around SEK 10 per month, but price and quality go hand in hand. If you run a serious website or a webshop, I would strongly recommend that you sacrifice a little extra. If you get an extra
*lead* or one extra sale, the price difference will in most cases be earned. Websites, or websites in Danish, must be put on a web hotel (web host) to be available to the outside world. A web hotel has one or more servers, which your powerful computer, which stores your website and the files that will be used. It can be text, images, video, etc. Servers are typically located in large data centers, which can contain servers from one or more suppliers. There are basically four types of web hotels , with a number of subgroups. The four are:
*Shared hosting*, or shared hosting in Danish, is the most basic and cheapest form of web hotel. Shared hosting works by putting your website on a server with a lot of other websites. In many cases, several hundred other websites. All websites shares the resources available on the server, so if one website suddenly uses a lot of resources, it can exceed the others. It can be compared to renting a room in a house together with others. You have your own room, but share kitchen, bath, electricity bill, etc. When Torben is in a bath, you have to wait until it's your turn. I only recommend this type of hosting for hobby projects or if you have a very low budget. Most Danish web hotels, such as Simply. com, One.com, Nordicway, etc. are based on shared hosting. As a general rule: If not stated otherwise, it's shared hosting. **Advantages of shared hosting **Disadvantages of shared hosting
VPS stands for
*Virtual Private Server, *and you are still a form of shared server. In this case, the server is divided into a number of smaller virtual servers - with dedicated resources. So instead of sharing resources with other websites, you are only shared the physical server. VPS is generally faster than

*shared hosting*, but also more expensive. A VPS is equivalent to renting an apartment in a house. You have your own kitchen and bathroom, and share a few things with the rest of the residents in the property. **Advantages of VPS ** Disadvantages of VPS
Dedicated hosting is, as the name suggests, your very own server - for rent, that is. You can do (mostly) whatever you want and install the software that suits you. It is equivalent to renting an entire house. green living room? OK, you just do it. There are, in my opinion, very few websites that need a dedicated server. And the price alone makes it a solution for the few. **Advantages of dedicated hosting **Disadvantages of dedicated hosting
Cloud hosting is in many ways similar to VPS hosting, but there are differences. On a VPS, you rent part of one server. With cloud hosting, you rent part of a number of servers, each of which has its "areas of responsibility". If a server goes down down or have problems, another automatically takes over. You therefore have higher uptime, and at the same time really high speeds. Cloud hosting can be compared to renting 10 rooms in each house, but only paying for one. Cloud hosting is generally more expensive than shared hosting and a little more technical to set up. On the other hand, it is faster, can be scaled and generally has less downtime. Cloud hosting is recommended if you have a lot of traffic, and/or if you want to give your visitors the best experience. **Advantages of cloud hosting **Disadvantages of cloud hosting
When it comes to web hosting, of course, not everyone has the same needs. If you create a website for your cooperative housing association, it might not do much if it takes a few seconds to open it. If, on the other hand, you have a product or service that you want selling, it is absolutely crucial that your website is fast. Some parameters to consider could be:

The speed of your website is one of the most important parameters for your users. Very few users have the patience to wait for a slow website. When it comes to the speed of your website, an upgrade of your web hosting is one of the fastest/easiest ways to speed it up. How many resources, i.e. CPU, hard disk space, RAM etc. do you need. Depending on the hosting type, the number of visits to your website can also be a parameter. Support is one of the things you don't think about meget på - before you need it. When you need it, and you probably do sooner or later, the decisive factor is how quickly you can get in touch with them, but also how competent the support is.It is important to keep in mind that web hotels primarily provide support on the server side, and generally do not provide support on e.g. WordPress. Some web hotels offer free transfers from existing web hotels. If you don't have the courage to do it yourself, or just ideally you want to be free, it's a simple way to get on. There is no one (read: very few) who can guarantee you that your server will never go down or have to be restarted. That's why it's almost impossible to find a 100% uptime guarantee. Most web hotels advertise with 99.9%, which corresponds to approx. 10 min. downtime per week. Most of the slightly more expensive web hotels contain functions that make your life as a webmaster easier. It can be, for example:
E-mail hosting, i.e. [email protected], is in some cases included in your web hosting. I personally prefer to keep e-mail and web hosting separately, but some prefer to have it together. The price is of course also an important parameter , but again, be careful not to save too much. There is a correlation between price and quality, and an investment in a faster web hotel will for most people be a good business. For small and medium-sized companies, I recommend Cloudways Cloud Hosting. At Cloudways, you can you choose between 5 cloud providers, i.e. data center providers. The 5 are:
Each of the five suppliers has a number of data centers distributed throughout the world. If you mainly have Danish customers, then choose a data center in Frankfurt or Amsterdam, which are the closest to you. The prices vary depending on the supplier and allocated resources, but start at $12 /md with Digital Ocean and the cheapest plan. If you have an existing website, Cloudways offers free migration from your current web host. **Advantages of Cloudways **Disadvantages of Cloudways

There is much to consider, and be aware of when choosing a web hotel, and both price, functions, resources and much else are something to consider. There are countless providers of web hotels and I have mentioned some of them above , I've had good experiences with. Of course, that doesn't mean that there aren't other providers that can be just as good, or better in your situation, but for most people they will be really good offers.
