Wake-On-LAN Virtual Machine should be installed on a host machine which runs your virtualization software. When it starts it tries to find configuration files of the following virtual machine
software: Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Virtual PC, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007, Oracle VM VirtualBox, VMware Server, VMware Workstation and VMware Player
Wake-On-LAN Virtual Machine has to be installed by the same user name who installed before the above software, except Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware Server because virtual machine software configuration files are located in user profile folders
If you can see your virtual machines list with their MAC addresses after installation, you need another software to send Wake-On-LAN magic packets to the host machine. The recommended applications are Wake-On-LAN Sender and Remote Desktop Assistant.
