= Cloud Computing (AWS, Google cloud) vs Web Hosting (WPX, WP Engine, etc Which one is better for Hosting a WordPress website? =

Let's say I have a WordPress website with 1M visitors/month

So, which is a better option for hosting this website

Cloud computing (AWS, G cloud) or Web Hosting like (WPX, WP Engine)

**and I am not talking about the performance/speed **
I want to know that which one will be more convenient / easier to use

For example: If I use WPX or WP Engine, then if I ever face any technical issue, I can simply contact them via live chat and they'll solve my problem in minutes

But if I choose to host my website on AWS or G cloud, then will I get the privilege of contacting them via live chat, if I ever face any problem? If so, then how much will I be paying for their Support?
Also, which option will be more cost effective?

If you truly expect 1M visitors/month and have a large amount of resources (e.g. images/video) to be served I'd go cloud

I haven't used Google cloud but have AWS both in my daily profession as well as for personal purposes

The benefit of not having to pay for your own dedicated hosting is indeed that a lot of hassle is taken away from you. If a service is unavailable, AWS is on top of it. If you desire replication to prevent loss of data, there is a solution. You can also easily configure caching and CDN based distribution to prevent continuous requests for large assets

It depends of course on what you're site is exactly doing with regards to rich media, but for a website serving content that is managed by a CMS, you'd often be able to host it very cheaply. Just takes a little effort in understanding how to set up and provision your environment, and that is directly the downside: you're going to spend some time on being
*dev ops*. It is a good skill to learn though

I want to know that which one will be more convenient / easier to use

This makes it pretty simple. WP Engine will be your best bet here by far

Also, which option will be more cost effective?
AWS and GCP will be cheaper. But that's because you'll basically be setting up the entire production environment yourself. There's plenty of tutorials online, but with WP Engine you're paying for that convenience of just having to check a few boxes and upload some files

When I was working with Wordpress for many years I tried many different hosting solutions. The best company BY FAR was actually a reseller and offered managed hosting with full support from a variety of providers to choose from. That company is called CloudWays
Now that I'm working with React JS I'm using Google Cloud Platform (Firebase) because it's a better fit for what I'm building.
