I graduated w/ my design degree a little over a year ago. Currently have a decent job as the designer at a screen printing shop. When I was back in college I decided I wanted to hand code my website since I was in a couple coding classes at the time. Since then I decided to not focus on coding and my knowledge of it dwindles as time goes on. I recently decided I want to be fully ready with updated personal branding/etc (which I've been slacking on since getting this job) all the time so whenever I'm ready to move on from this job or find another I like, it's easy to pursue it. I definitely want to redo my website through an online builder. Most of my colleagues used square space and I've played around with it some and it seems pretty nice, I think that is what I'm going to go with. But domain and hosting wise I currently use big daddy; I've always really liked their customer service. If I do go about making a site on square space and have my hosting through there should I transfer my domain over as well so I drop big daddy completely? The idea of using two different sites for both seems like it might be inefficient/cost more? My knowledge on setting all of this up is there but limited. So I'm asking for any advice regarding this, personal favorite domain/hosting sites, and any tips! Thank you! Aside from Behance (you get a free site if you have a Creative Cloud subscription), here are a few portfolio specific sites that either IâÃÂÃÂve used or caught my eye: Semplice.com Carbonmade.com Fluidgalleries.co Even Squarespace isnâÃÂÃÂt too.
