## Learn about requirements to transfer your domain
Your domain must meet these requirements to be eligible to transfer to Google Domains:
- You must own the domain or have permission from the domain’s current owner or registrant to manage the domain

- You must resolve any outstanding actions against the current domain

- The domain must be at its current registrar for at least 60 days. Check with the current registrar for their specific limitations

- You must be able to renew your Google Domains registration

- You can’t exceed your domain’s maximum registration period

As part of the transfer, you must purchase a one-year registration for your domain from Google Domains. To confirm the cost, registration requirements, and maximum registration periods for specific types of domains, check the reference of domain ending details

If you transfer your domain name shortly after it's renewed with the previous registrar, you may have to pay for a one-year registration with both registrars. Contact your previous registrar for a refund
