r/Tailscale 4 Posted by28 days ago = Home server or VPS as the exit node? = ![ ](httpswww.redditstatic.com/desktop2x/img/renderTimingPixel.png) I am playing with the idea of using an exit node to route all internet traffic. I am not sure whether it's better to use a home server (which I already have) or a VPS (which I will purchase). Is there any benefit to spend a few dollars every month to use a cheap VPS as the exit node? Thanks! 84% Upvoted ![ ](httpswww.redditstatic.com/desktop2x/img/renderTimingPixel.png) level 1 Many streaming sites block traffic originating from a datacentre to combat VPNs. 2 level 1 The issue with using a home server is you'll be limited to the upload of your home internet. ServerCheap.net has decent cheap VPSes. 2 level 2 Op ÃÂ÷ 28 days ago Thanks. I have a fiber connection and I stream through my own plex server, so upload shouldn't be a problem. 2 == About Community == A subreddit for Tailscale.
